2007 was the year that Bid4aCure was formed. During that
year’s June charity drive we raised over L$ 300,000 (Linden
Dollars) for diabetes research and donations of US$650.00 and
£310.00 (British Pounds) were made to the
American Diabetes Association
(ADA) and
DiabetesUK
by Jocelyn Sands (who supplemented the ADA donation) on behalf
of Bid4aCure. |

In 2008 Bid4aCure raised over a million Lindens to Benefit
Diabetes Research and subsequently the real-world amounts of
£1000.00 was donated to DiabetesUK and US$2,281.00 was donated
to the American Diabetes Association.

In 2009 Bid4aCure
raised L$1,785,236; the most our effort has ever raised to
date. Real-world currency donations in the amounts of US$3,437
and £2,092 were paid to the American Diabetes Association and
DiabetesUK respectively on 7/7/09. |

In 2010 Bid4aCure
raised L$ 915,100; a remarkable feat given the ongoing
economic turmoil that so many are enduring. Real-world
currency donations in the amounts of US$1689 and £1063 have
been forwarded to the American Diabetes Association and
DiabetesUK respectively. We have posted copies of the
acknowledgement letters from both organizations to the right. |

In 2011 Bid4aCure
raised L$ 1,007,360 (US$3904.50); the second best year since
the effort began in 2007 and a stunning and unexpected
surprise since so many people are dealing with the continuing
global economic woes being faced today. Real-world currency
donations in the amounts of US$1952 and £1265 have been
forwarded to the American Diabetes Association and DiabetesUK
respectively. We have posted copies of the
acknowledgement letters from both organizations to the right. |
